The 10th Meeting of Pakistan-Russia Consultative Group on Strategic Stability was held on 26 April, 2016 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad. Pakistan side was led by Ms. Tasnim Aslam, Additional Secretary (United Nations & Economic Coordination), while the Russian delegation was led by Mr. Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Minister of the Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Both sides held candid exchange of views on arms control, non-proliferation and disarmament issues in a cordial atmosphere and agreed about the need to create a regional and global environment that guaranteed equal and undiminished security to all states. In keeping with the positive trajectory in broader bilateral relations, both sides, inter-alia, agreed on enhancing bilateral coordination at international fora and building on common grounds to promote mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
Pakistan-Russia Consultative Group on Strategic Stability is a platform for structured dialogue between the two sides and has been meeting since 2003.
