Higher Education Commission (HEC) has informed that a limited number of seats are available for admissions in Public Sector Universities/ Institutions of Pakistan in the disciplines of Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS) for foreign nationals as well as Pakistan Origin dual nationality holders for the Academic Session 2018-19 under Self Finance Scheme (SFS). The scheme has following objectives:
- To encourage expatriate Pakistanis to stay connected with their mother country, and foreign nationals to learn about Pakistani culture and society
- To encourage knowledge-sharing with friendly, fellow developing countries
- To improve relations with the international community
For admission under SFS, the students should have studied (SSC and HSSC) or Equivalent outside Pakistan with minimum 60% marks in HSSC or its equivalent qualifications after conversion in the form of equivalence certificate form Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) in at least three compulsory subjects including Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics. It is further added that the studests are required to have passed Provincial/Regional admission test or passed SAT-II with minimum 550 marks in each subject i.e. Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics or foreign MCAT with minimum aggregate score of 24 to apply for the seats.
