Pakistan continues with diplomatic efforts to muster support for its application for membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).
In this regard, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, today made telephone calls to the H.E. Sebastian Kurz, Foreign Minister of Austria and H.E. Mevlut Cavusoglu, Foreign Minister of Turkey.
The Adviser underscored Pakistan’s credentials for NSG membership and emphasized the importance of non-discriminatory approach on NSG expansion to non-NPT states.
The Adviser thanked Turkish Foreign Minister H.E. Mevlut Cavusoglu for the principled position adopted by Turkey at the Vienna meeting that the membership applications of both India and Pakistan be considered together.
