As part of Pakistan’s continuing diplomatic efforts towards mobilizing support for Pakistan’s application for the membership of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, spoke over telephone with the Russian Foreign Minister, H.E. Sergey Lavrov, on 07 June 2016.
Today, the Adviser also contacted, over phone, the Foreign Ministers of New- Zealand, H.E. Murray McCully, and Republic of Korea, H.E. Yun Byung-se, to highlight Pakistan’s credentials for the NSG membership with a view to seek their support. His interlocutors expressed support for a non-discriminatory approach on NSG expansion to non-NPT states.
