Ambassador Mohammad Imran Mirza made a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Mankeur Ndiaye, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Senegal on 01 March 2016, and presented copy of credentials. The Foreign Minister warmly welcomed the Ambassador to Senegal and congratulated him on Ambassadorial assignment. The Foreign Minister fondly remembered his substantive meetings with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and other senior civil/military leadership, during his visit to Pakistan in November, 2015. He also acknowledged the gracious hospitality extended by the Government of Pakistan.

Foreign Minister Ndiaye hoped to have an early mutually agreed date to convene the inaugural session of the Joint Ministerial Commission in Dakar. He also assured to follow-up on the proposed visit of our Minister for Defence Production for an early confirmation. He was of the view that such meetings will help in expanding our bilateral relations, including enhancement in bilateral trade and promotion of defence cooperation.

Ambassador Mirza thanked the Foreign Minister for receiving him, and conveyed greetings, on behalf of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, to President Macky Sall.
