HE Ali Javed, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman welcomed at his Office earlier today, Mr. Mubarak Al Mahri, CEO BERBA, a Petroleum, Civil & Mechanical Engineering Services Company.

Mr. Mahri is heading to Pakistan at the invitation of Board of Investment (BoI) and is scheduled to call on HE Razzaq Dawood, Hon’ble Adviser to PM on Commerce, Textile, Industries & Production and Investment, on March 13.

Recalling his past visits to Pakistan Mahri observed, “It is my third visit to brotherly Pakistan. I feel close affinity with its people and admire Prime Minister Imran Kahn as a national hero’.

Mr. Mahri added, “BERBA aims to take advantage of the ‘conducive environment and potential for business Pakistan offers and further aims to establishing its off-shore manufacturing facility to produce ‘Made in Pakistan’ Engineering Services Tools for local market with potential for export”.

The Ambassador accorded a comprehensive briefing on the ‘strategic overlap’ between Pakistan and Oman and on the complete spectrum of cooperation with focus on recent visit by Hon’ble Foreign Minister of Pakistan HE Shah Mahmood Qureshi to Co-Chair the Pak-Oman Joint Commission (Jan 30-31, 2019) alongside his Omani counterpart HE Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah.

The Ambassador welcomed BERBA’s initiative and shared details of forthcoming visits of ‘Friendship Group’ from Senate of Pakistan (State Council – March 17-21) and 18-memeber business delegation from Trade Development Authority (Mar 31-Apr 2).

The Ambassador outlined the celebrations of ’79th National Day’ of Pakistan across the Sultanate adding that in departure from past practice, this year a ‘Corporate Event’ in partnership with over a dozen representatives of Pakistan Business Community in Oman is being organized.

The Ambassador presented ‘Embassy Newsletter’ to Mr. Mahri and extended invitations to join ‘Oman-Pakistan Friendship Association’ and ‘Pakistan Day, Reception being hosted in Muscat on March 25, 2019, which were accepted.
