The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Muscat organized special prayers/Fateh Khuwani for the departed soul of late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said at Pakistan School Muscat on January 14, 2020. Special prayers were offered for the departed soul attended by larger number of Pakistani community members residing in Muscat as well as Omani dignitaries. The event was organized to pay rich tribute to Late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and his contribution in transforming Oman into modern, vibrant and developed nation.
The Speakers highlighted the role played by Late His Majesty to promote peace, stability and security in the region and beyond. In his address, Ambassador of Pakistan stated that Late His Majesty Qaboos was a great friend of Pakistan and was a wise, visionary, sagacious and benevolent ruler, who has allowed more than 250,000 Pakistan nationals to work and reside happily in the Sultanate. He further stated that Late His Majesty Sultan’s visit to Pakistan in 2001 laid a solid foundation of highly cooperative and brotherly relations between the two countries. Late Sultan was a nation builder, peace maker and his contribution was acknowledged the world over, which will be remembered in years to come.
In the end, special prayers were offered by Dr.Sheikh Ismail Al Oofi, Director General Communication/External Affairs, Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Sultanate of Oman.
