(2017-08-22) Mr. Takashi Kurai, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Japan. Taking note of the investments made by more than 80 Japanese companies in Pakistan, Foreign Minister invited Japanese companies to avail the investment friendly environment in Pakistan in the backdrop of improved security atmosphere in the country and reforms by the Government in policies relating to ease of doing business in Pakistan. He also briefed the Ambassador about the efforts and sacrifices made by Pakistan to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
Ambassador Kurai appreciated Pakistan’s economic turnaround and growth trajectory. He expressed hope that Japan, as a friend, would continue to work with Pakistan for further strengthening of bilateral relations.
