All Pakistani Community members living in Ukraine are informed that the Government of Ukraine has ordered closure of all schools, movie theaters, entertainment centers and banned mass events effective from March 12 till April 03 to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Only parliamentary sessions will be held as per schedule and sports events will continue to take place without spectators. The Ukrainian Government has also suspended flights to several countries and closed down 170 out of 219 border checkpoints. The remaining 49 opened checkpoints will have quarantine facilities.
To prevent the spread of novel coronavirus and avoid infection, all Pakistani community members are advised to restrict their movement and follow the instructions issued by the Government of Ukraine and relevant guidelines issued by World Health Organization (WHO).
It is once again informed that the Embassy has also established a hotline, which will be available 24/7 to liaise with the Pakistani community on issues related to novel coronavirus.
