Imran Ahmed Siddiqui
Mr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1995.
A graduate of Harvard Kennedy School, United States, he served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Desk Officer (China) Director (United Nations), Director (Human Rights and United Nations Security Council) and as Joint Secretary to Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security, National Security Division.
Mr. Siddique served as Pakistan’s expert at the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, New York, Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as well as the Deputy Consul General at the Consulate General of Pakistan, Jeddah and the Consul General of Pakistan, Toronto.
Mr. Siddiqui has attended several sessions of the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, Human Rights Council and High Level meetings of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as well as Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in various capacities.
Mr. Siddiqui presented his letter of Credence to H.E. Mr. Md. Abdul Hamid, President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on 19 February 2020.
He is married.
