Dr. Mudassir Anwar was born and brought up in Wah Cantt, District Rawalpindi, he received his school and college education from Sir Syed College, Wah Cantt, and his degree in pharmacy from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur in 1996. In 2010 he was offered PhD scholarships from HEC Pakistan, University of Sydney, Australia, and the University of Otago, New Zealand, but he chose New Zealand to pursue his dream of PhD. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Mudassir Anwar, BPharm, MS, PhD, who is a Lecturer at School of Pharmacy, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand, helped to make an international online Covid19 assessment tool called “Your Covid19 Risk” which would help the New Zealanders to remain alert about future corona virus risks. Dr. Anwar’s work would equally benefit the Pakistanis, as he helped adapt the tool in Pakistan in Urdu language. His exceptional work has not only been acknowledged by the University of Otago but the media in New Zealand also gave coverage to his story.
