Dr. Chaudhry was 46 years old and hailed from Narowal in Pakistan. He moved to Saudi Arabia in 2014 with his family to work as a surgeon at Al Hira General Hospital in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. He is survived by his wife and three daughters who also live in Makkah. The whole family was affected by COVID-19 and, while Dr. Chaudhry lost his battle against the deadly virus, his wife and three daughters have survived and have now recovered. He was an important frontline member of the medical team fighting against COVID-19 in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region. He was a very hardworking and skilful surgeon who served the humanity with zeal and sincerity. He was also academically involved in the training of his junior doctors. Besides, Dr. Chaudhry was an active contributor to Pakistani doctors’ charitable initiatives and provided free medical services to underprivileged individuals in Makkah region throughout his stay in Makkah including during COVID-19 period.
