Easing of restrictions for Entry into Mexico
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican states has informed that the Mexican Government has eased the access into Mexican territory for a visitor under the "Agreement where the Guidelines and Migratory Procedures are reformed", particularly Article 26 regarding the internment into Mexican territory for foreign persons not requiring visa. This pertains to those foreigners who intend to stay as a visitor, without a permit to perform income-generating activities, and who fulfill the following requirements:
- Valid visa for Canada, United State of America, Japan, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any of the countries which are members of the Schengen Area (valid from May 16th, 2016).
- Document accrediting permanent residence in the United States of America, Japan, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any of the countries members of the Schengen Area as well as in the countries members of the Pacific Alliance (valid from July 1st 2016).
