Foreign Minster Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi who is visiting Rome to participate in the Ministerial Meeting on Security Council Reforms met Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, Foreign Minister of Vatican today.
Foreign Minster Qureshi lauded the services rendered by the Catholic community to Pakistani society particularly in the fields of education and healthcare. He also underscored the importance the democratic government in Pakistan attached to the welfare of minority communities and its efforts to promote tolerance and coexistence amongst various religious communities in Pakistan.
The Archbishop warmly welcomed Foreign Minister Qureshi to Vatican. He said he was happy to know that Pakistani Catholics were contributing to the society in a positive and significant way. He underlined the importance of coexistence between religions and civilizations as important for peace and prosperity of the world.
