In May 2011, Mr. Imran came to China and started a business to provide Pakistani food to Pakistani students and foreigners in Jingzhou, Hubei Province of China. The owner of a Pakistani restaurant `Home Kitchen’ provided free food and other basic amenities to almost 250 Pakistani students living in lockdown in Jingzhou, Hubei. His efforts were especially directed at those Pakistani students who were facing financial problems due to closure of banks and ATMs. He along with his family members helped Pakistani students by providing them food at their doorsteps without any break. He provided food items on subsidised rates and also free of cost to the needy students.
