“Pakistan and Brazil enjoy friendly and cordial relations and both countries are working towards strengthening bilateral relations in all fields especially increasing the two-way trade” the Ambassador of Pakistan in Brazil H.E. Najm us Saqib commented today after holding a detailed meeting at the Embassy of Pakistan, Brasilia with the Ambassador of Brazil in Pakistan H.E. Claudio Lins.
Both Ambassadors discussed ways and means to have early finalization of Agreements on Technical Cooperation and Joint Commission that “will pave the way for increasing economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Brazil”. Referring to the recently formed Pakistan-Brazil Business Forum and the progress achieved with the establishment of Pakistan-Brazil Joint Chamber of Commerce, both Envoys expressed satisfaction over the steady pace of increasing trade relations, in particular, through contacts between the private sectors of both the countries.
Exchange of high level visits to provide impetus to bilateral cooperation in various fields, was also discussed and agreed upon. “Both countries can learn from each other’s experience in diverse fields, both at Government and private levels, for the betterment of peoples of both the countries”, Ambassador Najm us Saqib observed.
The two Ambassadors while emphasizing the importance of economic diplomacy, also stressed the need to have increased people-to-people contacts in order to explore additional areas of cooperation.
