THE Pakistan High Commission in Brunei Darussalam hosted Sungkai reception at Tutong community hall for orphans. The chief guest was Haji Adnan bin Haji Adam, Acting Tutong District Officer.

Ahmed Ali Sirohey, Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam and the acting district officer handed over festive Hari Raya gifts to the children before breaking the fast.

It included 101 orphans and their guardians. The members of Pakistan community were also present at the event. The gifts were donated by a Pakistani businessman, Ghalib Khan.

Speaking at the occasion the acting high commissioner underscored the benefits of giving assistance and hosting Sungkai for the orphan.

The guest of honour appreciated the concern for orphans and needy people. He lauded the spirit behind it and thanked the acting high commissioner on arranging a Sungkai in Tutong.
