Brunei Darussalam and Pakistan are bound together by fraternal relations rooted in common faith, shared values and cultural affinities. The bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields is growing from strength to strength with each passing day.

On April 23, 2019 Pakistan High Commission donated books to Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU) (Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College). Acting High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey handed over the books to Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Adanan Bin Haji Basar Ra’es of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College and established Book Corner at Kupu Library.

The Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan in his remarks said that books serve as a ladder to knowledge and to development of a peaceful and progressive society. The collection of books donated to Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College covers a range of subjects and provides religious point of view on modern day social and economic issues. The Acting High Commissioner Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey reminded the audience that knowledge is inheritance of believers. Muslims were at the forefront of discovery and research. We can regain it by making books our friends.

During the discussions, progress on MOUs between Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College and Sindh University of Pakistan and Islamic University Bahawalpur was also discussed. Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Adanan Bin Haji Basar Ra’es of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College expressed his gratitude to Pakistan High Commission for the valuable donation of books and handed over a token of appreciation to the Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan.
