(2017-09-11) President Mamnoon Hussain who arrived in Astana as a leader of Pakistan delegation, met with the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Bakir Izetbegovic on the sidelines of the OIC Summit on Science and Technology.
During the meeting, the President said that Pakistan deeply values its fraternal relations with Bosnia, which are based on mutual trust. He reiterated Pakistan’s desire to further develop and strengthen bilateral ties with Bosnia in all areas, especially in the economic fields. The two leaders agreed to the need for promoting business exchanges, enhance people-to-people ties and explore the possibility of establishing joint ventures between the two countries. Both leaders agreed that people-to-people contacts were necessary to pass down legacy of existing political goodwill to next generations and learn from each other’s experiences in various fields.
The President of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s support to his country at the time of difficulties in their history, and expressed the desire to consolidate and promote ties between the two countries.
