High Commissioner, Raza Bashir Tarar met with the office bearers of the Canada Pakistan Association, National Capital Region (CPA-NCR) and briefed them on the latest security situation in the region.
While welcoming their support, the High Commissioner said that the community organisations can play an effective role in promoting understanding of Pakistan in the Canadian society and to project a positive image of the Country through holding of cultural galas.
He underlined the importance of engaging mainstream Canadians for highlighting our social and cultural values and emphasized on unity and harmony among the community organisations for achieving their desired goals.
The High Commissioner assured the office bearers of CPA-NCR that the High Commission will provide necessary support to the community organisations, across Canada, in their goal of bringing together the Community.
Earlier, Ms. Sadaf Ibrahim President CPA-NCR briefed the High Commissioner on CPA’s working and plans for holding of cultural events during the current year.
