The Embassy arranged a gathering of around forty Pakistani professionals from various fields at Pakistan House on 01 February 2020. The event provided an opportunity to young Pakistani professionals to learn about the experiences and professional path of their mentors who have been serving, with distinction in various fields in Kuwait.
The event was organized in collaboration with "PEOPLE" Pakistan Executives Organization for Promotion of Leadership and Entrepreneurship. PEOPLE is a voluntary, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of leadership and entrepreneurship within the professional communities in the Middle East.
The key note address was delivered by Mr. Kashif Khan, a distinguished Pakistani entrepreneur, Deputy CEO of Abwab Capital and founder of PEOPLE. Besides Mr. Khan, a number of other speakers from banking and finance, education and training, engineering and business spoke about their professional careers, current market trends, requisite skills-set for the job market as well as future trends. The session was ended with an open discussion and deliberation on the topic.
A tangible manifestation of the event's utility came in the form of offers of internship to young Pakistani graduates by some executives who were representing their respective business organizations.
In his address, Ambassador Syed Sajjad Haider appreciated the positive and constructive role being played by Pakistani professionals in different areas of Kuwaiti economy. He, while referring to Prime Minister's Hunarmand Pakistan Program, emphasized on the young professionals to focus on the latest technologies for their socio-economic development.
This was the second program of the series, started by the Embassy for close and continuous engagement with Pakistani diaspora in Kuwait to provide them a forum for discussion on pressing questions regarding their professions. This platform is available to all non-profit Pakistani organizations working for the welfare of Pakistani diaspora based in Kuwait.
