Traditional Arts Festival was held in Cairo from 19-25 April 2013. 25 countries participated in the event. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Incharge of Musicology Department, National College of Arts and James Masih, alias Ustaad Jimmy Khan, represented Pakistan in the festival. They performed in the musical events arranged by the Egyptian government at various places. A special musical performance was arranged by Pakistan Embassy at the historical Arab Music Institute on 26th April 2013. The audience included Pakistanis, members of diplomatic community and Egyptians. Famous writer and poet Farouk Shosha was the guest of honour on the occasion. The participants enjoyed music from Pakistan.
