The Embassy of Pakistan in Lisbon participated in the 2018 International Diplomatic Bazaar held at the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa from 30th November to 1st December, 2018.

The Pakistan’s handicraft items such as Pashmina Stoles, Kashmir Embroidery stoles, Bed spread, handmade clutch purse, Cushion Gaba, Chitrali Cap, Swati Stoles and Embroidered wall hanging etc. were displayed. A side Stand for Tourism Information under the theme “Visit Pakistan-The Land of Wonders” was also set up.

The Portuguese President H. E. Marcelo de Sousa visited Pakistan’s stand and spent time there. The President admired the craftsmanship and talent of the artisans from Pakistan. The Charge d’Affaires Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Khan presented him a book “Churches of Pakistan” and handmade wall hanging. Apart from a large number of participants, Advisor to the President on Foreign Affairs and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps also visited Pakistan’s Stand and appreciated Pakistani products. The participants were also familiarized with the famous tourist attractions in Pakistan.

The International Bazaar of the Diplomatic Corps is a solidarity event organized by the families of Portuguese diplomats. This year more forty three Embassies accredited to Portugal participated in the event. According to the organizers, the profit from the event will be donated to institutions supporting the needy elderly person.
