High Commissioner Dr. Sohail Khan, accompanied by Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Adnan Javaid, met with Pakistani citizens, on 12 April 2020 in a local hotel, stranded in South Africa due to suspension of international flights. The objective was to boost their morale in this dire situation which is prevailing across the world owing to global pandemic Covid-19.
The High Commissioner apprised them that, despite lockdown in South Africa and Pakistan, they will be returning home, via special chartered flight, and rejoin their families soon. They were very thankful and appreciative of the High Commission’s support in distress time.
The High Commission, in collaboration with a private organization in South Africa, has arranged a special chartered flight on self-support basis for repatriation of all of our stranded citizens (around 35 persons) in South Africa and neighbouring countries. Any Pakistani citizen who is on visit visa and got stranded in South Africa may contact the High Commission through email at ‘pareppretoria1@telkomsa.net’ & +27 62 9247782 (Text Only).
The special flight will also bring 90 South African citizens stranded in Pakistan
