A 5-member delegation of National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam (NCCIBD) left for Pakistan on the morning of 6 August 2023 to participate in the 5-day‘ASEAN – Pakistan Business Opportunities Conference’ from 7-11 August 2023 in Lahore and Karachi, Pakistan.

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta has designed the Conference for ASEAN Business owners / decision makers / buyers / investors in the sectors of textile and apparel, IT, leather, fisheries, surgical instruments, fruits and vegetables, cereals etc. More than 50 delegates from ASEAN member states are attending the Conference.

Major General (R) Farhat Abbas Sani, High Commissioner of Pakistan in Brunei Darussalam and Mr. Ghulam Haider, Deputy Head of Mission were there to see off the delegation at Brunei International Airport. Earlier, the High Commission arranged a detailed briefing for the participating delegates at the Pakistan High Commission.

The delegates of NCCIBD will interact with members of various trade bodies of Pakistan, officials of relevant Ministries and hold B2B meetings. The Conference will provide an opportunity to the visiting delegates to explore the huge Pakistani market with a view to enhance the bilateral trade between Pakistan and
Brunei Darussalam.
