MANZOOR AHMAD CHAUDHRY

Born on March 31, 1964 at Lahore, Pakistan, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Chaudhry graduated as medical doctor from King Edward Medical College, Lahore in 1988. He was awarded master’s degree in political science by the University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2004. He speaks English, French, Urdu and Punjabi.

Mr. Chaudhry joined Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1996 and has six postings abroad to his credit. He has done four postings in Africa with nearly 14 years stay in the Continent.

He served as Third Secretary at the Embassy of Pakistan, Senegal from 1999 to 2003. In addition to Senegal, he covered following countries for Pakistan; Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Guinea (Conakry), Ivory Coast, The Gambia and Sierra Leone.

Mr. Chaudhry served as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Pakistan, Greece from 2004 to 2007.

He served as First Secretary at the High Commission for Pakistan in Kenya from 2007 to 2011. In addition to Kenya, he covered the following countries for Pakistan; Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda and represented as Deputy Permanent Representative at the UNEP and UNHABITAT.

Mr. Chaudhry served as Head of Mission at the Embassy of Pakistan, Niger from 2011 to 2015.

He served as Minister/Deputy High Commissioner at the High Commission for Pakistan at Pretoria, South Africa from 2016 to 2018. He covered following additional countries for Pakistan; Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia and Swaziland (Eswatini).

Mr. Chaudhry served as Consul General of Pakistan to Milan, Italy from October 2018 to February 2022.

He served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad asSection Officer in Personnel Division (1998), Deputy Director in EuropeDivision(2003-2004) and Director forGeneral Services (2015-2016).

He is currently serving as Ambassador of Pakistan to Cote d’Ivoire since February 2022.

He is married to Zahida Manzoor and has two children.

M. Chaudhry a pris fonction au Ministère des Affaires Etrangères du Pakistan en 1996 et a eu six affectations à l’étranger à son actif dont quatre en Afrique ce qui lui value un séjour de presque 14 ans dans le Continent.

Il a servi comme Troisième Secrétaire à l’Ambassade du Pakistan au Sénégal de 1999 à 2003 puis dans les pays suivants au compte du Pakistan : Cape Vert, Guinée Bissau, Guinée (Conakry), Cote d’Ivoire, Gambie et Sierra Léone.

M. Chaudhry a servi comme Deuxième Secrétaire à l’Ambassade du Pakistan en Grèce de 2004 à 2007.

Il a servi encore comme Premier Secrétaire à la Haute Commission pour le Pakistan au Kenya de 2007 à 2011.

En plus, il a exercé dans les pays suivants au compte du Pakistan : Burundi, Eritrée, Ethiopie, Rwanda, Somalie, Tanzanie, Uganda et a représenté le Pakistan comme Adjoint au Représentant Permanent du UNEP et du UNHABITAT.

M. Chaudhry a servi comme Chef de Mission à l’Ambassade du Pakistan au Niger de 2011 à 2015.

Il a également servi comme Ministre/Adjoint au Haut-Commissaire à la Haute Commission pour le Pakistan à Pretoria en Afrique du Sud de 2016 à 2018. Il a aussi exercé dans les pays additionnels au compte du Pakistan : Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibie and Swaziland.

M. Chaudhry a été consul général du Pakistan à Milan, en Italie, d’octobre 2018 à février 2022.

Il a servi au Ministère des Affaires Etrangères à Islamabad comme Chef de Section, Département du Personnel (1998), Adjoint au Directeur, Département Europe (2003-2004) et Directeur des Services Généraux (2015-2016).

Il est actuellement ambassadeur du Pakistan en Côte d’Ivoire depuis février 2022.

Il est marié à Zahida Manzoor et ont deux enfants.
