MS. FARHAT AYESHA
Ambassador Farhat Ayesha is the High Commissioner for Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Ghana. She is a career Foreign Service officer with diplomatic experience spanning over two decades that includes various assignments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan’s missions abroad in both bilateral and multilateral arenas.
Prior to her appointment as High Commissioner, Ambassador Ayesha served in Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations (UN) in Geneva (Switzerland), Consulate General of Pakistan in Shanghai (China), High Commission for Pakistan in Singapore, Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN in New York (USA).
Ambassador Farhat Ayesha has represented Pakistan at numerous multilateral fora and served in various political positions in international organizations. Her expertise includes; peace and security, labour, human rights, humanitarian issues and sustainable development.
Ambassador Farhat Ayesha joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 2003. She holds Masters of Advanced Studies in International Law in Armed Conflict from University of Geneva, Switzerland and Masters in English Literature from University of Punjab, Pakistan.
Ambassador Farhat Ayesha was born in 1972. She is married with one son. She loves reading, folk music, kitchen gardening and long walks.
