The Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, yesterday, met the Algerian Foreign Minister, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, on sidelines of the 70th Session of United Nations General Assembly.
The two leaders exchanged views on further enhancing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Algeria, which are rooted in history and shared faith. They agreed to hold the next session of Pak-Algeria Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) at an early date.
The two leaders also discussed regional and international situation, with particular reference to conflicts in the Middle East. Bilateral cooperation at the United Nations and UN reforms also came under discussion.
Mr. Sartaj Aziz invited Mr. Ramtane Lamamra to visit Pakistan. Mr. Lamamra accepted the invitation.
