The Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, today, met the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Niger, Ms. Kane’ Aichatou Bloulama, on sidelines of the 70th Session of United Nations General Assembly.
The two leaders exchanged views on ways and means to promote bilateral relations between Pakistan and Niger. In this regard, they decided to convene the Pak-Niger Joint Commission at an early date, with a view to further enhancing economic and trade cooperation.
The two leaders also discussed regional and international situation, counter-terrorism, humanitarian challenges facing Africa particularly food security and refugee crises. They agreed to continue active cooperation at various multilateral forums, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
