Afghan National Security Adviser’s Telephone Call

Afghanistan’s National Security Adviser, Mr. Hanif Atmar, telephoned the Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, to convey deep condolences from the government and people of Afghanistan over the loss of innocent lives in the terrorist attack on the school in Peshawar today.

While strongly condemning this terrorist act directed at children, Mr. Atmar stated that terrorism is a menace for the entire region and has to be addressed through common endeavours. He added that the Afghan people are with their Pakistani brethren facing this grim national tragedy.

Mr. Sartaj Aziz thanked Mr. Atmar for this expression of solidarity.
