Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Dr. Ahmed Benflis presented a cheque of US$ two million to Foreign Minister, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, today. The Foreign Minister, while receiving the cheque, expressed deep appreciation for the leadership of Algeria and described this contribution as an expression of solidarity and fraternity with the flood victims. The Foreign Minister requested the Ambassador to convey our deep gratitude to the Government and the people of Algeria for this generous contribution to the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund.
The Foreign Minister expressed the hope that the mutual goodwill and emotional bonds existing between Pakistan and Algeria should be used to further enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the trade and investment sectors.
