Attacks on the Churches in Lahore

Responding to a query on the attacks on Churches in Lahore yesterday, the Spokesperson stated that the Government and people of Pakistan strongly condemn this unfortunate incident. The entire Pakistani nation, regardless of religion, remains firmly committed in its resolve to eliminate terrorism.

Pakistan greatly values the services rendered by the Christian community. We deeply sympathize with the families and victims of this unfortunate tragedy. The perpetrators of this crime are enemies of humanity. The Prime Minister has already condemned this incident in the strongest possible terms and has ordered an investigation.

Such attacks on the State of Pakistan only strengthen our resolve to eradicate the menace of terrorism and extremism from our midst.
