Talking to the daily in an exclusive interview, the Chairman, Board of Governors, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), and Barrister Amjad Malik said that he would strive to strengthen the unique Pak-Saudi close brotherly ties. He said that the basic goal of OPF is the welfare and wellbeing of expatriate Pakistanis. Responding to a question, Barrister Amjad said that OPF desires that the number of schools under its management be increased in various cities of the country and the quota of the expatriate children which at present is just 13%, should also be increased. He said that efforts would be made to give OPF a right direction and turn it into an effective body. He said that OPF counters have been established at all the airports in Pakistan where complaints boxes have been placed where expatriates can dispose their written complaints and such complaints would be looked into on daily basis in order to address such complaints. He said that on the special directives of PM Nawaz Sharif, 9.5 million rupees were distributed amongst the Pak based affectees families of the Dammam expatriate workforce. An OPF Commission has been established in the province of Punjab in order to swiftly cater to the complaints of the overseas Pakistanis.
