The British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr. Adam Thomson called on Foreign Minister Ms. Hina Rabbani Kharin her office today.
Mr. Thomson congratulated the Foreign Minister on the successful visit of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to the United Kingdom earlier this month on the invitation of British Prime Minster David Cameron to hold First Summit Level Annual Review of the Strategic Dialogue signed between the two sides during the latter’s visit to Islamabad in 2011.
They also discussed the forthcoming high level visits between the two sides and expressed satisfaction at the cooperative relationship in all areas of mutual interest.
The Foreign Minister reiterated her appreciation for Prime Minister Cameron’s remarks during the recent NATO Summit in Chicago where he acknowledged Pakistan’s important role in fight against forces of terror and extremism and the huge losses that it has incurred in the process in terms of precious lives and economic opportunities.
The two dignitaries reaffirmed to exchange views on regular basis.
