Brunei-Pakistan Friendship Association hosts Iftar event

THE Brunei-Pakistan Friendship As-sociation hosted the breaking of fast event recently at the Rice N Grill Pakistani restaurant

The host was Haji Abdul Ul Qayyum Nagyal, General Secretary of the Brunei-Pakistan Friendship Association.

Among those present were Ahmed Ali Sirohey, Acting Pakistan High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam, and prominent Bruneians including a member of Legislative Council, YB Haji Awang Ahmad Morshidi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Abdul Rahman;

Pehin Dato Haji Jaya bin Abdul Latif; Haji Abdul Majid; Haji Syed Anayatullah Shah; and Dato Paduka Haji Alikhan.

Also present were Pakistani bus-inessmen Firoz Khan, Shoukat Bukhari and Ismail Afridi.

Ahmed Ali Sirohey explained the lessons of Ramadhan in learning patience, piety and compassion.

Ramadhan teaches us to care for our neighbours and the needy, he added.
