Business Seminar "Pakistan: Market of Opportunities"

The Embassy of Pakistan in Lisbon organized a business seminar “Pakistan: Market of Opportunities” in collaboration with the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (AIP) on 17th May, 2018. Mr. Jorge Paes, the Vice President of AIP, in his inaugural remarks invited the Portuguese investors/companies to take advantage of the huge opportunities offered by Pakistani market particularly in energy and textile sectors. Mr. Andre Jorge, market mangers of AIP, discussed in details the potential of Pakistani market, its international ranking and priority areas for the Portuguese companies/investors.

Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Khan, Charge d’Affaires, enlightened the participants about the economic profile of Pakistan, geographical location and exploitation of regional market, Pak-Portugal bilateral trade, CPEC, Special Economic Zones, and sectoral strength of Sports, Surgical equipment, textile and leather products of Pakistan. The Charge d’Affaires also briefed the participants about the role of the Mission as a facilitator of business visa and trade inquires etc.

The Presentation of the Charge d’Affaires was followed by question/answer session and B-2-B meetings. A good number of major Portuguese companies participated in the event.
