Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs received Ms. Lilianne Ploumen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Netherlands today.
The Adviser and visiting Minister discussed bilateral relations and stressed the need for further strengthening political, trade and economic ties.
The Adviser briefed the Minister on priorities of the government to revive economy, overcome energy shortage and promote good governance. He highlighted investor friendly policies of the government and invited Dutch investments in Pakistan. Further strengthening of institutional linkages between business communities was also emphasized.
Ms. Ploumen said that Netherlands was keen to enhance its relations with Pakistan in all areas. She appreciated the vision of the government and steps taken for promotion of trade and investment.
The discussions were held in a frank and cordial atmosphere.
