A seven-member delegation of Chinese diplomats called on Mr. Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, at the Foreign Office today. Ms. Lu Xu, the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, is leading the delegation which also includes six mid-career diplomats from China. The delegation is on a six-day visit from 12- 18 June 2015.
Mr. Fatemi extended a warm welcome to members of the delegation. He described Pakistan-China friendship as an exemplary inter-state relationship, which enjoyed across-the-board support at all levels— public, institutional and popular, in both countries. The SAPM underscored the importance of the role diplomats from both countries could play in strengthening and deepening the “All-weather strategic cooperative partnership”.
The visit is part of a series of activities planned in the context of the ongoing “2015: Pakistan-China Year of Friendly Exchanges” to celebrate political, diplomatic, cultural, people-to-people and academic exchanges between the two countries.
