Amb. Win Naing, Ambassador of Myanmar to Pakistan paid a courtesy call on the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs (SAPM), today, to brief him on the recent developments in Myanmar, including the formation of the Union Government. He also conveyed the gratitude of the Government of Myanmar on the assistance provided by Pakistan after the recent disastrous floods in Myanmar.
The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister congratulated the people of Myanmar on the peaceful democratic transition of power and expressed confidence that this would usher in a new era of peace and prosperity for the people in Myanmar.
Both sides expressed satisfaction at the overall trajectory of Pakistan-Myanmar relations, and reaffirmed their shared resolve to further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
