The Chief Executive and Pro Vice-Chancellor University of London, Dr. Marie Stiasny called on the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs (SAPM) today.
During the meeting, the SAPM underlined the importance of cooperation of educational institutions in strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UK. He appreciated the contribution of the University of London in enhancing the level of collaboration between the education communities of both countries. He emphasized the need to develop stronger links between Higher Education systems in Pakistan and the UK including research collaboration, joint courses, conferences and partnerships.
The Pro Vice-Chancellor expressed confidence in the level of collaboration between the two countries in the field of education. She desired to create further research links between the UK and Pakistan Universities. The Pro Vice-Chancellor highlighted the potential of growth of University of London International Programmes in Pakistan and reaffirmed her commitment to continue working in Pakistan to increase education linkages which can contribute positively to the upward trajectory of relations of both countries.
