Celebration of National Day of Pakistan (23rd March 2016)

Pakistan National Day was observed on 23rd March 2016. A flag hoisting ceremony was held to mark the 76th Anniversary of the National Day of Pakistan. A large number of Pakistani diaspora attended the ceremony. The Charge d’ Affaires in his brief speech highlighted the importance and historical background of Pakistan resolution of 23rd March 1940 and policies and efforts of the present government for peace and development of the country.

The National Day Reception was hosted on 30th March 2016 at a local Hotel. Amb. Ramadhan M. Mwinyi, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs was Chief Guest on the occasion. Former President of Tanzania H.E. Ali Hassan Mwinyi also graced the occasion. A large number of high ranking civil and military dignitaries of the host country, members of the diplomatic corps and Pakistani community notables attended the reception.
