This year marks the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and China. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on 21 May 1951. The friendship between our two countries has grown from strength to strength and maintained an upward trajectory over the last six decades.
To commemorate the occasion, with zeal and fervor and in a befitting manner, numerous events marked the celebrations hosted as under:
Visit of Party Secretary of Xinjiang Province, Zhang Chunxiang, to Islamabad, Karachi and Gwader (3-6 April)
Exchange of messages between the leadership (President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister) of the two countries (21 May)
Visit of the Chief of Army Staff to China (15-18 May)
Visit of Chief of PLA (Navy) to Pakistan (18-19 May)
Visit of CPEC Parliamentary Committee to China (18-27 May)
Ceremony held at Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) on 18 May at Beijing.
Reception arranged by the Chinese Embassy courtesy Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Marriott Hotel (24 May: President graced the occasion)
Reception being organized by Pakistan Embassy in Beijing courtesy Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Cultural Event at Pak-China Friendship Center jointly organized by Chinese Embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (22 May)

Numerous articles carried in the print media, reflected on various facets of the diverse relationship
Some of the programs are under process of finalization, including visit by Chinese leadership to Pakistan.
