Chand Raat celebration at the Embassy

Chand Raat was celebrated at the Embassy on 29th Ramadan. The function was held with the usual pomp and show which marks the end of the holy month of fasting.

The Charge d’ Affaires Mr. Tanveer Ahmed spoke about the spirit of Ramadan. He requested the guest to spread the message of this holy month of peace, friendship, humanity and tolerance.

The evening started with an Iftar cum dinner. Special prayers were offered for the country. The guests were served with traditional Pakistani cuisine and specially prepared desserts.

Guests were also treated to songs by children. Ladies embellished each other�s hands with Henna while bangles were also offered to guests.

The event, held for the first time at the embassy premises, was widely appreciated by the audience.
