Commodore Sajid Mahmood SI(M), Commander Combined Task Force 150 (CCTF-150) and his staff officer Lt. Khurram Khan paid a goodwill visit to Tanzania, Dar-es-Salaam from 15-18 October 2014. The visit was aimed at sharing views of Combined Maritime Forces Headquarters (CMFH) Bahrain with Tanzanian authorities on challenges emanating from piracy and drug trafficking in the Horn of Africa and the East African region.
2. During the visit, Commodore Sajid Mahmood accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Iqbal, Charge d’ Affaires and his staff officer met with Col Msemwa, Acting Chief of Training, Tanzania Peoples’ Defense Forces (TPDF), Mr. Kenneth James Kasseke, Commissioner, Drug Control Commission and Brig Gen SO Semtaua, Naval Operation and Training Officer of Tanzania Navy.
3. The Charge d’ Affaires hosted a welcome Reception in the honour of visiting delegation where members of Welfare Association of Pakistanis and prominent Pakistanis also attended the diner and discussed with the Commander about security and their task in the region in details. Welfare Association of Pakistanis also hosted a dinner in the honour of the visiting delegation.
