Constitution of the “Council of Business Leaders”

The Honourable Prime Minister has been please to approve the constitution of the “Council of Business Leaders”.

The “Council of Business Leaders” shall ensure the:-

i. Pakistan’s business leaders, as representatives of the nation’s business community have access to a structured forum to provide feedback on the Government’s business, economic, investment, tariff and taxation policies;
ii. Policy makers benefit from a diverse set of opinions to assist in the formulation & implementation of the Government’s agenda with respect to:

a. Creating jobs;
b. Boosting exports;
c. Increasing investment;
d. Enhancing the ease of doing business;
e. Encouraging the participation of overseas Pakistanis;

and all other areas of policy where the input of business community is critical.

Secretary Commerce will act as Secretary to the “Council of Business Leaders”.
