Delegation Level Meeting Between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Foreign Minister of Iran Dr. JavadZarif

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi met with Foreign Minister of Iran Dr. JavadZarif today. The two Foreign Ministers held a one-on-one meeting followed by delegation level talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran.

Foreign Minister Qureshi emphasized the close historical, cultural, religious and linguistic ties between Pakistan and Iran.

The two Foreign Ministers exchanged views on the range of bilateral and regional issues including ways and means to increase bilateral trade; investment; connectivity security; cultural cooperation; establishment of Border Sustenance Marketplaces; opening of new border crossings; people-to-people exchanges and strengthening mutual collaboration at UN and other multilateral fora. During the meeting, both sides also reiterated their resolve to deepen the existing convergences for bilateral as well as regional peace and economic benefit.

On Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Qureshi reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent support and facilitation for the efforts for durable peace and stability in Afghanistan. He noted that it was important that the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan coincided with the progress in the peace process. The Foreign Minister expressed hope that the forthcoming meeting of Afghan leadership in Turkey would be an important opportunity for Afghans to make progress towards a negotiated political settlement. Both sides agreed on the need for a responsible troop withdrawal in coordination with Afghan stake-holders. The two sides also agreed to continue to work together with the international community in the efforts for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Qureshi apprised Foreign Minister Zarif of the deteriorating humanitarian and human rights situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The Foreign Minister underlined the need for the international community to hold India accountable for these crimes against the Kashmiris people and work for peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions. The Foreign Minister lauded Foreign Minister Zarif’s recent public statement whereby he supported the idea of self-determination for the Kashmiri people.

The two Foreign Ministers exchanged views on the increasing Islamophobic trends, particularly in some European countries and agreed to continue to work through joint efforts of the Muslim countries to counter the trend.

The two Foreign Ministers also signed MOU on Establishment of Border Sustenance Marketplaces which are specifically designed to help in the economic uplift of the local populations on both sides of Pakistan-Iran common border by providing them with formal and legal means to engage in mutually beneficial commerce.

The two Foreign Ministers appreciated the opening of Mand-Pishin international border crossing point between the countries that came within five months of the opening of the Gabd-Reemadan border crossing, opened on 19 December, 2020.

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan is visiting Iran on the invitation of Foreign Minister Zarif. This is his third visit to Iran. Earlier he visited Iran in January 2020, in the aftermath of the assassination of General QasimSoleimani.

جلسه سطح هیئت وزیر خارجه شاه محمود قریشی و وزیر امور خارجه ایران دکتر محمد جواد ظریف

          وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان، شاه محمود قریشی امروز با دکتر محمد جواد ظریف وزیر امور خارجه ایران  دیدار و گفتگو کرد. وزیران امور خارجه جلساتی جداگانه به همراه هیئت هایسطح مذاکراتی دو کشوردر محل وزارت امور خارجه ایران برگزار کردند.

قریشی بر روابط نزدیک تاریخی ، فرهنگی ، مذهبی و زبانی میان پاکستان و ایران تأکید کرد.

وزیران خارجه در حوزه وسیعی از موضوعات دو جانبه و منطقه ای از جمله راه و روش های افزایش تجارت دوجانبه؛ سرمایه گذاری؛ امنیت اتصال؛ همکاری فرهنگی؛ تأسیس بازارهای معیشتی مرزی ؛ گشایش گذرگاه های مرزی جدید؛ مبادلات بین مردم و تقویت همکاری متقابل در سازمان ملل و سایر مجامع چندجانبهتبادل نظر کردند. در این دیدار ، طرفینبار دیگربر تصمیم خود در تعمیق همگرایی های موجود در دستیابی به صلح دو جانبه و منطقه ای و منافع اقتصادی تأکید کردند.

در خصوصموضوع افغانستان نیزقریشی حمایتمستمر پاکستان در تلاش بهبرقراری صلح و ثبات پایدار در افغانستان را تأیید کرد.وی خاطرنشان کرد که خروج نیروهای خارجی از افغانستان همزمان با پیشرفت در روند صلح، مهم است.  وزیر امور خارجه ابراز امیدواری کرد که نشست پیش روی رهبری افغانستان در ترکیه فرصتی مهم برای پیشرفت افغان ها در دستیابی به یک توافق سیاسیهمراه با مذاکره می باشد. طرفین همچنین در خصوص خروج مسئولانه نیروهابا هماهنگی سهامداران افغان توافق کردند.طرفین همچنین توافق کردند که به همکاری با جامعه جهانیدر ایجاد صلح و ثبات پایدار در افغانستان ادامه دهند.

وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان، ظریف را از وخامت اوضاع انسانی و حقوق بشر در جامو و کشمیر اشغالی و غیرقانونی هند مطلع کرد. وی بر ضرورت پاسخگویی جامعه جهانیدر قبال جنایات هند علیه مردم کشمیر و تلاش برای حل مسالمت آمیز اختلاف جامو و کشمیر مطابق با قطعنامه های شورای امنیت سازمان ملل متحد تأکید کرد. وی اظهارات اخیر ظریفمبنی بر حمایت از حق تعیین سرنوشت مردم کشمیر را ستود.

وزیران امور خارجه در مورد روند رو به افزایش اسلام هراسی ، به ویژه در برخی از کشورهای اروپایی تبادل نظر کرده و توافق کردند که با تلاش مشترک کشورهای مسلمان با این روند به مقابله برخیزند.

وزراء امور خارجه همچنین تفاهم نامه ای در خصوص ایجاد بازارهای معیشتی مرزی منعقد کردند که با هدف کمک به رشد اقتصادی جمعیتبومی مرزهای مشترک پاکستان و ایرانوهمچنین ایجاد ابزارهای رسمی و قانونی برای تجارت سودمند متقابل است.

طرفین از افتتاح گذرگاه مرزی بین المللی مند-پیشین بیندو کشور که ظرف مدت پنج ماه پس از افتتاح گذرگاه مرزی گبد-ریمدان در 29 آذر 1399 افتتاح شد ، قدردانی کردند.

وزیر خارجه پاکستان به دعوت ظریف به ایران سفر کرد. این سومین سفر وی به ایران است. پیش از ایناو در ژانویه 2020  و پس از ترور سردار قاسم سلیمانی به ایران سفر کرده بود.
