Diplomatic Community warmly welcomes Ambassador Najm us Saqib in Brasilia

The diplomatic community is pleased to welcome you as the new Ambassador of Pakistan to Brazil, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corp Ambassador Giovanni d’Aniello of Holy Sea stated while receiving Ambassador Najm us Saqib in his office. On behalf of the entire diplomatic community based in Brazil, the Dean wished Ambassador Saqib a very happy and fruitful stay in Brazil. Ambassador Saqib warmly reciprocated the greetings and expressed gratitude on the Dean’s warm hospitality and best wishes. Both Ambassadors then discussed matters of mutual concern and shared views on how to further cement relations between the diplomatic community and the Government and people of Brazil.

Earlier, the Dean of Asian Group of Ambassadors, Ambassador Tuiloma of Fiji received Ambassador Najm us Saqib in his office and exchanged views on Brazil-Asia relations with special reference to increasing Brasilia’s trade with Asian countries. Welcoming Ambassador Saqib in Brasilia, the Dean termed his arrival as a wonderful addition to the large diplomatic fraternity based in Brazil.

Similarly, the Dean of Arab Group of Ambassadors, Ambassador Ibrahim Alzeben of Palestine received a dear brother from Pakistan in the newly constructed beautiful Embassy of Palestine and extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Saqib on behalf of the Arab world. Both Ambassadors had previously worked together in Cuba as the respective Ambassadors of their countries in mid-2000s.

H.E Mr. Najm us Saqib arrived in Brasilia on 12 May, 2017 as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Brazil with concurrent accreditation to Colombia, Bolivia, Suriname, Guyana and Venezuela.
