Ease of Doing Business 2020

Pakistan successfully improved its ranking in the World Bank’s “Ease of Doing Business 2020”, securing a place among the top 10 countries with the most improved business climate.

Pakistan undertook six important reforms during the last one year, namely starting a business, procurement of construction permits, electricity connections, registration of property, payment of taxes and trading across borders. Thus its ranking went up from 136 to 108 among 190 nations.

Among the top 11 economies with population exceeding 100 million, Pakistan was ranked as number one reformer by the Report.
