The Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister, Mr. Mohamed Abd El Hamid Higazy, called on Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi today. They discussed a whole range of bilateral issues and the situation in the region.
The Assistant Foreign Minister brought a letter from the Egyptian Foreign Minister addressed to Foreign Minister Qureshi conveying his desire to strengthen and expand the already existing friendly relations between the two countries.
The two sides affirmed their commitment to continue their regular interaction and work together to enhance cooperation between the two countries in multiple areas.
The Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister is on a two-day visit to Pakistan during which he met the Chairman Senate, the Foreign Minister and other dignitaries. He held extensive consultations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs covering issues of mutual interest. Egypt and Pakistan have identified more than twenty areas for further expanding their cooperation.
