On the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), a Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) Conference was held at the Consulate General of Pakistan, Milan (Italy) on Saturday, November 9, 2019. More than 100 Members of Pakistani Community and staff members of the Consulate General attended the Conference. Renowned Scholar Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali was the Chief Guest.
After recitation from the Holy Quran, Dr. Manzoor A. Chaudhry, Consul General welcomed the guests. He stated that the Consulate General has held first Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) Conference in Milan to express our love and devotion to Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He said the life of the Holy Prophet (SAW) is a beacon of light and guide for all Muslims. He advised the youngsters to follow the Sunnah and stick to righteous way of life.
The Consul General eulogized the life and message of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. He saluted the valiant people of Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOJK) for their valiant struggle against Indian hegemony, scrapping of Article 370 and imposition of curfew. He demanded immediate lifting of the curfew and restoration of basic human rights in IOJK. The Consul General stated that Pakistan Armed Forces were on high alert and fully prepared to counter internal and external challenges faced by Pakistan.
Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali recited the Holy Quran in his peculiar style much to the liking of the guests. He recited Naat (SAW) as well. His recitation of Kalam-e-Iqbal was appreciated by the gathering. Qari sahib in his remarks stressed that Islam was a religion of peace and its followers must remain peaceful in all situations. He prayed for the people of IOJK. Prayers were also offered for progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Lunch was served at the end of the Conference.
